Watch: Take a closer look at Malaysia's 'train factory'
When talking about the Maritime Silk Road, Malaysia is a country that must be mentioned. The ancient Chinese navigator Zheng He is said to have visited the southwestern city of Malacca five times between 1405 and 1433. As a significant stop on the ancient Maritime Silk Road, Malaysia has become an important partner in helping China build the 21st century equivalent of the trade route. In 2015, China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, China's largest rolling stock maker, set up a factory in the city of Batu Gajah in the state of Perak, intended as a manufacturing hub for the "ASEAN century." This "train factory" has since contributed considerably to the development of Malaysia's transport network. And if Zheng He lived in this era, he would be astonished to find that high-speed trains, instead of ships or horses, could take him all across Malaysia. Join CGTN's Huang Yue in taking a closer look at Malaysia's "train factory." #TheNewSilkRoad
