Conservative MP Raquel Dancho on N.S. shooting probe, Emergencies Act, handgun freeze
Conservative public safety critic Raquel Dancho holds a news conference on Parliament Hill to call on Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair and RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki to resign over alleged political interference in the RCMP's investigation into the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooting. The call comes following the Mass Casualty Commission's release of an audio recording of a key RCMP meeting. Blair was the minister of public safety at the time of the shooting. Dancho also faces questions from reporters about the inquiry into the federal government's use of the Emergencies Act and about the government's announcement of the immediate implementation of a national handgun freeze.
