Hi, I'm Daniel with etrailer. And today, we're gonna take a look at and I'm gonna show how to install the SuperSprings SumoSprings for your front axle on our 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Now, there's gonna be a couple different reasons why you would want front-end suspension enhancements. Maybe you have a front hitch like our neighbor does today, and he's actually gonna be using a heavy snowplow. So you definitely want something up here, because that'll level out your load and give you some more support with a heavy accessory. So it'll increase drivability, especially in snowy conditions, that's very important.

Now, another reason, you may have an in-bed camper, and that can hang out pretty far, so you want these to level out your load that way as well. Now, as far as front-end suspension enhancement goes, usually, people go with SumoSprings or Timbrens. Now, SumoSprings are gonna be a little bit softer and a little bit more giving. So if you do have this as a daily drive, then I would recommend them, because the ride will be a little smoother. We got some footage of us going over our bump course before we installed our SumoSprings. And as you can see, it's kinda just bouncing up and down, there's really no support there. (car engine rumbling) Now, after we got it installed, you can see that it's absorbing a lot of that force a lot better. (car engine rumbling) This is what your SumoSprings are gonna look like installed on your truck, and here's the factory jounce bumper. And as you can see, this is more than twice as big, so this is gonna give you a lot more cushion up here and more support for loads in your front hitch.

Now, this is gonna support loads up to 1,000 pounds. This is also made out of a durable microcellular urethane, so it's gonna offer a really great suspension enhancement for your front axle. This blue SumoSpring here, it's gonna be the least dense out of all the ones you can get. This is gonna be really nice for a daily drive, because it's still gonna have the feel of your factory suspension, but it's also gonna offer more support. Now, if you do want something more dense with more support, we do have a yellow SumoSpring.

Now, as far as install goes on these, these are extremely easy, that's why they're a plus, and they're maintenance free. So if you're ready to get these installed, follow along, and I'll show you how to do it. First off, I got a pry bar, and we're gonna take out the original jounce bumper. I'm actually gonna use this and just pry this out. Once you work it all the way out, you can pop it all the way out. Once we've got that removed, it's gonna reveal a bolt. And I'm gonna use a 10 millimeter socket to get this removed. (impact drill buzzing) We'll take our spacer blocks, we got a round one, and then one that has a half moon on there. We'll just put the round on top of that, and then that radius here, that's gonna be facing towards the front of the vehicle. Now, you also wanna put some blue threadlocker on the stud. And then, it's gonna have a concave hole, and we'll get our hardware put through that, and I'll get this threaded on. Now, I'm gonna use a five millimeter Allen key attachment on a angled drill to get this tightened down. (impact drill buzzing) (impact drill clanking) Now, we needed to raise up the vehicle a little bit, so we can have more room to put in our SumoSpring. I just put a pull jack on our front hitch. Now, if you don't have a front hitch or if you're doing this on the ground, you can use a floor jack and go directly to the frame. I'll get our SumoSpring, I'll line it up with that stud, and I'll just get this tightened on. There's no torque value for any of our hardware today, so just make sure everything is nice and tight, and it's not gonna go anywhere. And we can take our pull jack out of the way. And once you've done that to both sides, you are ready to go. And that just about does it for the look at our SuperSprings SumoSprings on our 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty.
