HEY JOE - HOW TO WORK OUT BACKING VOCALS USING TRIADS ON GUITAR
I did this video to demonstrate how to use guitar triads (on the G, B and E strings) to work out vocal harmonies. In this case, it is Hey Joe, using triads based on the chords of C, G, D, A and E. This is how I would develop a three part backing harmony for the song, which to my mind really makes it. This was part of a guitar course I was running this year. I am using my 1989 Washburn DC-60 acoustic guitar and it is recorded with the microphone in my Zoom Q4 camera.
