Srila Prabhupada's arrival in the western world in 1965 could not have been timed more perfectly! The western youth, forced to live under the threat of either Soviet nuclear annihilation or capitalist slavery, were looking for an alternative lifestyle. At the height of the 60's counter culture revolution Srila Prabhupada and His followers held a Sankirtan (congregational chanting) festival in a San Francisco park. Srila Prabhupada's Hare Krishna counter, counter culture revolution spread like wildfire amongst these disillusioned, disenfranchised young people, the Sankirtan movement spread from America across the whole globe, changing the lives of millions of people from all walks of life. The Sankirtan revolution continues to spread to this day! All glories to that great visionary Srila Prabhupada. The Hare Krishna Maha~mantra is performed by Vishnujan Swami.
