LONDON Walk 🇬🇧 - Exploring South Kensington’s Exhibition Road 🏢🏛 and surrounding areas 🏘

‼️Today we are exploring South Kensington’s Exhibition Road and its surrounding areas. The Exhibition Road is home to some of the most important attractions and museums in the UK including Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) 🏺🖼, the National History Musuem 🐒🦅, the Science Musuem 🚲🦽 and the Royal Albert Hall 🎻. They are currently closed due to Tier 5 lockdown in London but this area usually attracts over 11 million visitors each year.

As museums are closed, we explore the surrounding areas starting from the Queen’s Gate, a street lined with architecturally beautiful terraced houses and home to many embassies. Also past V&A and Brompton Oratory, we explore some of Knightsbridge’s mews and residential streets, even passing a local interesting feature called, “The Hole in the Wall” - a gap on the wall caused by World War II bombing and now serves as a permanent right of way for locals.

We finish our walk at Ennismore Gardens where we can find the beautiful church called, Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Dormition. ⛪️
