Photographing Scottish Beavers | Wildlife Photography with Jeroen Kloppenburg

I'm back with the beavers, and this time I'm joined by wildlife photographer and professional tracker Jeroen Kloppenburg for some awesome wildlife moments!

Just a few days after I returned from the previous trip with the beavers, I got a message from Dutch wildlife photographer Jeroen Kloppenburg that he was coming to Scotland and would like to meet up and watch the Scottish beavers in Knapdale - we'd chatted about it earlier in the year, but I assumed that just like all the other collaborations I'd planned, it would be derailed by the COVID-19 situation! I was so pleased to still be able to meet Jeroen and we had a great evening watching for the beavers and chatting about our adventures in wildlife photography... As the light faded, Jeroen had to head back to his accommodation, but as I was sleeping in my hammock in the woods, I was able to stay and enjoy some fantastic encounters with the beavers later that night and the next morning!

In the humid conditions, I had an issue of fogging inside my Nikon 500mm PF lens - pretty annoying - but I was able to dry it out easily once I got home by using a re-chargeable silica gel pack: https://geni.us/owr4T Super useful thing to have here in Scotland!
