How to Make Cheddar Cheese – Farmhouse Cheddar

Cheddar cheese is a wonderful cheese, but traditional Cheddar can take a long time to make. Here’s an easier recipe- Farmhouse Cheddar, which can be made, from milk pour to first press in about 3 hours.
Cloth banding is a great way to age a Cheddar, especially if you don’t have a vacuum sealer or wax. It takes a little babysitting, but the end result is WORTH IT.
If you are new to cheesemaking, this is a great first hard cheese recipe for you to try.
