2019 Friends Kwanzaa Celebration honoree Makeda "Dread" Cheatom Dedication Video

Makeda Dread Cheatom was honored as the 2019 and first honoree for the Friends of the Malcolm X Library Kwanzaa Celebration on December 31, 2019. This is an montage and dedication that truly touched her heart but barely scratched the surface of her enormous impact in the local and local community. She has hosted Kwanzaa FREE of charge and FREE food for over 35years. For this she is elevated to Queen status, also carrying the mantle for all of San Diego in terms of cultural entertainment and education. She has many more awards but we will let the soul of this video tell the story
