Bushcraft trip to the Siberian forest. Making a primitive wooden spoon from pine. Cooking over a fire. Stewed potatoes.
There was still a lot of snow in the forest a week ago. But now almost all the snow has melted. On the street about +12 degrees Celsius.
To make a spoon, I took a pine tree that was blown down by the wind and had time to dry. The spoon can be cut from raw wood. As a rule, such a spoon dries well and does not crack. But I didn’t cut a living tree and decided to use what nature gave me. This shape of a spoon as I do in the video can be made with one knife. She will not be so beautiful, but with such a spoon it will be easy to cook food and eat with such a spoon. Deciduous trees are best for spoons, but conifers can also be used.
To make a spoon, I use a bow saw, a Russian ax, a knife and a hook knife.
The hook knife weighs a little and should be carried with you to the forest. Many good things can be made with such a tool.
