Beyond the Dream: LGBTQ+ Leaders in Civil Rights
Jesse Bayker, research project manager and digital archivist for the Scarlet and Black Research Center at Rutgers University, led a discussion about LGBTQ+ leaders in the civil rights movement. The event was part of Beyond the Dream, a virtual event series hosted by Rutgers–Camden, and took place Jan. 20, 2022. In celebration of the life, legacy, and leadership of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the series featured speakers who offered an in-depth look at the civil rights movement from diverse perspectives.
