Innovations in children's eyecare at Specsavers

A radical new vision screening programme for schools, unique qualifications in children's eyecare and frames tailor-made to fit children's heads all feature in a film made for ABDO Insight 2016. The programme is the result of a partnership between ITN Productions and the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO). The news-style report is filmed in Specsavers' West Brom store.

Introducing the film national newsreader Natasha Kaplinksy says, 'In the future patients with minor and more serious eye conditions will go to their local high street optician for screening and treatment instead of to the GP or the hospital. Good habits start early, which is why high street opticians Specsavers has made a major investment in children’s eyecare.
