Ms. Shalini Kapoor shared her journey as a social worker and talked about Yatan NGO. It has various programs, which are helping to make the lives of underprivileged women and girls better. Ms. Shalini Kapoor is an educationist. She is the director at Career Guru Gurgaon and an International Math Educator. She is the Founder President of YATAN NGO. Yatan is engaged in programs related to women empowerment, child literacy, menstrual hygiene, career guidance and vocational training for the under privileged. She has helped thousands of women and children to find their feet and confidence to move with pride in the society. She is the recipient of Haryana Garima Award, Leadership Icon Award as Best Women Social Worker and 1000 Women Faces of Asia Award . She strongly believes,“ The journey well begun is half done but miles yet to go.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
