New 2021 Ford Territory - Budget Family SUV Interior & Exterior

Ford today started pre-selling the Territory, a medium-sized SUV that will expand its line and raise the bar in the segment. Awaited since its debut at the 2018 Auto Show, the model was finally revealed to the press in an online presentation, with all the details of configuration, versions and price.

As the main credentials, Territory arrives to be the new reference of the category in internal space and comfort, technologies of driver assistance and connectivity, bringing exclusive resources.

The Territory arrives as model 2021 in two versions, SEL and Titanium, both with 1.5 Turbo EcoBoost GTDI gasoline engine, 150 hp, and CVT automatic transmission with manual changes of eight simulated gears, specially calibrated for the preferences and conditions of the Brazilian market .

The new SUV is a leader in interior space and passenger comfort, especially in the rear seat, and offers a unique set of equipment. In addition to the 360 ​​° panoramic camera, front seats with cooling and heating, wireless charging for cell phones, wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and configurable ambient light in seven colors, it is also the only one among the main competitors to have an embedded modem for remote communication with the vehicle.

Imposing design

The Territory has an imposing and striking presence with elements of Ford's new SUV design DNA, such as the characteristic trapezoidal front grille. The high hood, the long wheelbase and the short rear draw a dynamic and sporty profile. The headlights, daytime running lights and LED taillights create a distinctive and technological light signature.

Appliques on the lower part of the bumpers and a dark band around the entire body base enhance its robustness and sportiness. The out-of-the-box wheels increase the feeling of protection and the name Territory on the rear, in chrome letters, enhances your personality.

The Territory SEL comes with 17 ”alloy wheels and 235/55 R17 tires. The Territory Titanium is visually differentiated by its black roof, 18 ”light-alloy wheels with 235/50 R18 tires, chrome door handles and rear view mirrors with electric approach and folding lights.

Sophisticated interior

With a long wheelbase of 2,716 mm, the largest width in the category, 1,936 mm (without mirrors) and a length of 4,580 mm, the Territory offers a superior level of comfort for passengers.

In the front seats, it is the leader in seat-to-ceiling space (1,006 mm) and head clearance (56 mm). In the rear seat, it is also larger than the direct competitors in legroom (1,000 mm) and knee space (88 mm).

The interior, with a raised central console and electric panoramic sunroof as standard, is also impressive for its level of finish and comfort. The SEL version has a dark tone, in the color Black Charcoal, and premium coated seats. The rear seat, in addition to a folding armrest with cup holder, has automatic digital air conditioning outlets and USB input.
The 1.5 Turbo EcoBoost GTDI engine, with intercooler, direct fuel injection and chain-operated variable valve timing, was specially calibrated for the fuel and driving style of Brazilians. It has a power of 150 hp and a maximum torque of 22.9 kgfm, available in the range of 1,500 to 4,000 rpm, with a flat curve that ensures good disposition in the city and on the road.
