NY '20 Yurt Trip- 1st Time Backcountry Snowboarding in McCall, Idaho- HackVenture Life Vlog 9

My fiancee, Autumn, and myself were lucky enough to be invited by some friends for a backcountry snowboard trip in McCall, ID, for New Years 2020! About 15 of us went, most of whom were skiers, and a few of us were on snowboards.

Autumn and myself used snowshoes to climb up the mountains, and snowboarded down, which proved to be very challenging as compared to skiers, who just attach skins to their skis for easier climbing. We had over a foot of snowfall over the 2 and a half days we were there! This made for challenging avalanche terrain, and challenging climbs.

We were shuttled from our parking spot in McCall by a snowcat, guided by Payette Powder Guides, who guide ski/mountain bike trips, provide avalanche courses, and other services. The link to their site is below for more information:
