[4K] Busiest Shopping Street in Europe to Cathedral - Cologne Germany Walking Tour

Here is part 5 of my city walking tour series of Cologne (Köln), Western Germany in May 2020 during the pandemic. This walk offers one of the best ways of enjoying the busiest shopping street in Europe(Schildergasse), Alt St. Alban medieval church ruin, Cologne city's registry office and its Cathedral (Kölner Dom) during the pandemic in 2020 where traveling is difficult. I am starting this tour close to the Schildergasse Shopping street and then slowly proceeding to the Alt St. Alban, Cologne city's registry office and then heading to the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom). After I crossed it I will go down to the the right (east) bank of the Rhine river and walk until the Deutz Bridge.

The Schildergasse is a shopping street in central Cologne, Germany. With 13,000 people passing through it every hour, it is the busiest shopping street in Europe, according to a 2008 survey by GfK.

Köln/Cologne is the largest city of Germany's most populous federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth-most populous city in Germany. With slightly over a million inhabitants Cologne is one of the most important commercial and cultural centers of Germany, home to numerous museums, galleries, arts and entertainment venues.
