ASX record before RBA rates call

The ASX has just hit record highs, the index that tracks the top 200 stocks closing at 8,603 points - you can see over this 20 year chart, thats a record high. Over this year it’s been the telco sector thats been leadings gains, only the health care sector has been lower. The record highs comes ahead of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s rate call tomorrow where the RBA is expected to lower rates by 25 basis points. Records are also breaking in the US with Nasdaq reporting US investors traded a record $6.6 trillion of stock in the first half of this year.
