Sir John Eliot Gardiner 'Inspiring Moments' - Technics TRACKS Spotlights
John Eliot Gardiner first tried conducting at the tender age of 15, but it was to be an ambitious project whilst at Cambridge University - where he was studying history, Arabic, and medieval Spanish - that was to totally shape his life. On March 5th 1964, Gardiner launched his career as a conductor with a performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers in King's College Chapel. This event also led to the founding of the Monteverdi Choir an outfit he's continued to work with throughout his career.
