An Interview with Vincent Amaury Van Haaff on Waterland Design LLC
In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Waterland Design LLC was started in 1978 by Vincent Amaury Van Haaff as a little company to design recording studios. Since then they've become widely known for creating acoustic environments that look as good as they sound. When it doesn't look good it won't work is the old and well-used NASA adage that all at Waterland adhere to. They build complex acoustical systems that integrate music, film, video, electronics, system mechanics, and ergonomics and make them adaptable to the ever-evolving expanse of new technology. Yet their vision goes beyond the media production environment and we are constantly inventing new ways to apply our expertise. Today, this once-little company boasts dedicated clients from all corners of the world including Tokyo, Los Angeles, Milan, New York, and Sydney.
