Why do I get Ear Pain when Flying?

Ever felt like your ears are about to burst mid-flight?

Here’s what’s happening:

Your ears have a tiny pressure-balancing tube called the Eustacian tube.

During take-off and landing, pressure changes quickly, and if that tube doesn’t open fast enough, you may feel a pop, a pressure change, or pain.

How to fix this?

→ Swallow
→ Yawn
→ Chew gum
→ Gently clear your nose

And if you’re already dealing with a cold or allergies? It’ll feel worse 🙈

If the pain sticks around even after you land, get it checked by an ENT. There might be something serious going on.

Save this for your next trip ✈️

👃 The nose knows that...pressure changes fast at 30,000 feet. So, your ears just need a little help keeping up.
