On May 12th, 2010, Afriqiyah Airways Flight 771 crashed in Tripoli, Lybia. The aircraft had performed an NDB approach to Runway 09 when the pilots were unable to spot the runway in bad visibility. The crew then performed a go around, but the Airbus A330 did not climb, but crashed into the ground just short of the runway. Only one passenger, a young boy, survived the crash.
