Kedrodasos beach Chania Crete Greece

Kedrodasos beach is located in southwestern Crete, 73 km southern from Chania and 3 km eastern from Elafonisi.

Kedrodasos can be accessed either by walking the long distance path E4, which leads there from the neighbourhood famous pink sand beach Elafonisi. This path is marked but the terrain is not the easiest, its surface consists of sand, stones, rocks and thistles.
Or it's reachable also by car. You can drive about 3 km eastern from Elafonisi and follow the dirt road. As there are no signs is better use GPS to get navigated to the parking, then the hiking trail takes you down from there to the quite specific enviroment - forest of juniper trees. It is still untouched nature and deserves respect and protection.

Kedrodasos beach is unorganized sandy beach with many various small bays.
There aren't any facilities for visitors so recommended to take your own equipment and supplies. Kedrodasos is popular place for camping and nudists just because it's distant and less frequented.

The surface of the forest and beach is mainly sandy with parts of stones and flat rocks. The crystal clear sea has amazing colors and for those who prefer serious swimming is more suitable than Elafonisi as the sea bottom descends deep faster and also the sea level is often calm.

Further on the east from Kedrodasos are also few another smaller beaches - Pachia Ammoutsa, Kambi Lakkos and Kokkino Ammoutsaki. These beaches are like even more hidden versions of Kedrodasos.

Kedrodasos is definitely attractive place but fortunately still remains one of the few wonderful secluded and untouched natural paradises.
