HUGE Catalyst For The Stock Market Coming This Week!

So it’s a big week for the stock market with an array of financial and economic data due out across the United States. One of the major report’s that i’m personally looking out for is the CPI (inflation) report as it will likely dictate the FED’s response to quantitative easing and their monetary policy over the coming months ahead.
There are some major concerns that if higher than expected levels of inflation are present, the QE programme will need to be cut short with the possibility of an interest rate hike in order to curb the inflation numbers moving forwards.

If this is to occur, it is likely that we could see this economic bombshell crater the stock market, well perhaps that might be too strong of a position to take, but nonetheless I wouldn’t be surprised if it results in some selling pressure for US stocks and subsequently resulting in a market correction, if not something a little more sinister.

But it’s not just inflation readings that the FED will have to tackle this week, they’ll also need to tackle the growing debate around the US facing default on their national debt before the end of the year if borrowing limits aren’t raised. If this is to occur, then without doubt we will see a monumental stock market crash which will without doubt massively affect the value of our investments.

But for now, i’m sitting tight, waiting to see what will happen and wondering whether this will open up any further investment opportunities to take advantage of.
