Timothy Bradley and Luis Carlos Abregu fought on July 17, 2010, in a welterweight bout. Bradley was the reigning WBO welterweight champion at the time, and Abregu was an up-and-coming welterweight contender.

In the fight, Bradley was able to outbox Abregu for much of the bout, using his superior footwork and hand speed to land quick combinations and then move out of range before Abregu could counter. Abregu had some success in the middle rounds, landing some heavy shots that forced Bradley to back up, but overall Bradley was able to control the pace of the fight.

In the end, Bradley won a unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 118-110 in his favor. The victory improved Bradley's record to 26-0 and cemented his status as one of the top welterweights in the world at the time.

Abregu, meanwhile, would go on to have a solid career as a welterweight contender, but he was unable to capture a world title. He retired in 2019 with a record of 40 wins (29 by KO) and 6 losses.
