Boy soprano Aksel Rykkvin (12y) in NRK evening news (English subs)

Aksel got his own two-minute segment on the largest Norwegian evening news programme, "Dagsrevyen" ("the Daily Review"), on Friday Nov 20th! The occasion was a concert in Oslo Concert Hall, in which Aksel sings as a boy soloist with the Oslo-Philharmonic. During the concert, the animated film "The Snowman" is shown on the big screen, while the orchestra plays live and Aksel sings the theme song "Walking in the air" - the song that launched famous treble Aled Jones' career.

Aksel is an accomplished boy soloist with the Children's Chorus of the Norwegian National Opera ("Barnekoret ved Den Norske Opera & Ballett") and Oslo Cathedral Boys' Choir ("Oslo Domkirkes Guttekor"), and he has held three solo concerts. Voice teachers: Marianne Willumsen Lewis and Helene Haarr. Aksel is a student at "Musikk på Majorstuen" in Oslo, which is a program for primary/secondary education for classical music talents, run by the Barratt Due Institute of Music.
