The Great Gatsby`s fiery Shadow dance | Verba Shadow theatre

The story of the young millionaire Gatsby 💰 and his lifelong love💘 , played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie "The Great Gatsby," shook the world👏🏼🎬 .

American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald tried to create something fresh, original, and aesthetic to depict the era of American jazz 🎷.

Few people know that the novel was published in 1925 during the challenging interwar period. After its publication, the book received mixed reviews and sold very poorly 😔. Fitzgerald died in 1940, considering himself a failure whose works nobody knew about.

🔜 Interest to the novel increased during World War II, and it entered the school curriculum in the United States. The work gained extraordinary popularity only after the 2012 screen adaptation 🎞️ .
In the first week after the film premiere, significantly more copies of the book were sold than during Fitzgerald's entire lifetime 😱😱😱 .

Director Baz Luhrmann such successfully chose characters 🕺🏼💃🏻, music 🎼 and costumes 👗👔 for the film that he create a distinct style associated with "Gatsby" for parties, music competitions, and themed events. 😎

The film is a drama about the unrealized and sometimes reckless dreams of the American dream. Many American soldiers 👨‍✈️, who desired to settle down, start a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 , find love 👩‍❤️‍👨 ,recognition, and wealth after the war 💎, found their thoughts reflected in this story.

The Great Gatsby, having amassed his fortune through illegal deals 🔫 , possesses wealth, but his thoughts and his entire life are consumed with how to win over Daisy 💕 . Each of his extravagant parties 🍾🍸🎊 🪩 is another attempt to capture her attention. However, he is not a typical aristocrat with a cold heart and lack of compassion. On the contrary, he has a sensitive heart and is willing to sacrifice his life to save Daisy 🙏🏻 , even though she will never reciprocate 💔 and does not attend Gatsby's funeral🪦. The story presents a contrasting example of blind love.

Daisy lives in abundance with her husband Tom and has a wonderful daughter, yet she still feels something is missing and is bored. 🥺 Daisy's husband, Tom, comes from a noble background and has a beautiful wife , but attends social events with a mistress from a lower social class. Tom's main goal is to acquire wealth in any way 💵.

Therefore, the main message of the story is to live in the present 🙏🏻 ,appreciate what you have 🙌🏼, and find happiness in the current moment. 😇 There will always be desires for more and countless dreams and that is normal process. 🙃
