Tembembe Ensamble Continuo - Millennium Stage (October 12, 2017)

Tembembe Ensamble Continuo is a group that strives to research, recreate, and disseminate the relationship between music from the Baroque period and traditional Mexican and Latin American music—breaking down the historical barrier that has been imposed between them—offering new possibilities to enjoy, understand, and interpret these musical traditions today. The group explores the similarities between the instruments and practices belonging to these musical manifestations.

Presented in partnership with the Mexico Now Festival, the Mexican Cultural Institute and Multiflora Productions.
