Ladybugs, up close and personal

This is a relaxing short film about ladybugs (Coccinelllidae insect family) that live in a Cobweb Thistle (Crsium occidental) bush near our home in Valencia, California, USA. The bush provides a perfect habitat for watching and filming ladybugs up close and personal.

A ladybug narrates the film saying that they are very small and move quickly (flying up to 37 miles per hour). The insect told Ken to film in slow motion (10 percent of normal). Amazing results. Ladybugs can quickly change direction in flight, often when flying upside down. Watch their daily routine in ways you have never seen before.
