Shandon The Beagle Dog is saved on Valentia Island Ireland

Shandon, a beagle dog who got trapped in a crevice on a cliff face on Valentia Island in County Kerry Ireland at the weekend was dramatically rescued after howling for three days to be rescued. Unable to free himself he whined for his owner David O'Connor and although locals could hear him they could not locate him until members of the Valentia Coastguard extricated him 150metres down the face of the cliff in a dramatic rescue mission involving over a dozen members.
