Film Photography - Kodak Tmax 3200 - Dog Portraiture
Kodak Tmax 3200 First try in my Film Photography.
After my Wife asking me if I could make a portrait of our Dog, George, I went to work on making a portrait and thought it would make a good video to put on the channel.
I have a roll of Kodak Tmax 3200 so I thought I would use it for this portrait.
I also decided to use my Video Lights as constant lighting for George. I do have studio strobes and lots of lighting gear but I wanted to keep it simple for the channel. Not everyone has Studio Flash gear but we can all get hold of bright lamps and a reflector.
I used the 3200 as I needed to use a faster shutter speed and a smaller aperture. And the lights are not that bright. If I used a wider aperture the chances of George moving once I had focused on his eye was probable! I wanted his whole face from nose to neck in focus. Also the faster shutter speed gave me less motion blur if he moved slightly. So the 3200 was a good choice here. And I wasn't going to be put off by grain. I like grain.
My wife loved the portrait. Whoop!
