Schengen Student Visa Process and Requirements

The Validity of a Student Schengen Visa is up to three months within a six-month period. If your planning to study for more than 3 months, you should apply for a long-stay study visa.
To submit your Student Schengen Visa application successfully, follow these steps:
1. Figure out where you need to apply.
2. Figure out the best time to submit your visa application.
3. Fill the application form for a short-stay visa.
4. Collect the required documents for a Student Schengen Visa.
5. Make an appointment.
6. Attend the interview.
7. Wait for a response.
The mandatory documents to apply for a Student Schengen Visa are as following:
1. 2 Visa application form and 2 identical photos
2. Valid passport. Issued within the last 10 years with validity of at least 3 months after the end of the planned journey.
3. A copy of the passport’s biometric data.
4. Previous passports.
5. Proof of residency- birth certificate from PSA
6. Personal cover letter
7. Roundtrip reservation or itinerary
8. Travel medical insurance.
9. Proof of accommodation-- like Dormitory contract, Apartment or Flat Rent Agreement or a family invitation letter if they want you to stay in their place,
10. Original Letter of acceptance at an EU University/College/School.
11. Proof of enrollment or a confirmation of Scholarship
12. Proof of financial means.
For employees:
*Employment contract. - COE must include: employers full name, complete address, telephone number with area code, details regarding the position, income, employment duration
*Current bank statement of the latest 6 months.
*Leave permission from the employer.
*Income Tax Return (ITR) form or Certificate of Income Tax deducted at the source of salary.
For the self-employed:
*A copy of your business license (DTI)
*Company bank statement for the latest 6 months.
*Income Tax Return (ITR).
*Certificate of employment if your working as a freelance
For students:
Proof of enrollment.
approved letter of absence from your School or University
If you have a sponsor, here are the requirements that you would need from them:
*Sponsorship letter with signature
*Scanned copy of the Passport.
*Resident ID copy ( if his from the Schengen area)
**Proof of financial funds,6 months bank statements and work contract, and last 3 months payslips.
-Recent proof of income of the sponsor
*Proof of home / flat ownership or rental contract that shows the address. (if sa place nya ikaw mag stay)
* Original Affidavit of Support, legalized by their municipality where the sponsor is registered.
*Formal Obligation
*In case of a non-formalized relationship with your sponsor like (boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé(e) – a photocopy of the biodata page of the passport and travel history of the sponsor (entry stamps).
