Cobra Kai Creators: Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald, 1x1 W KRISTIAN HARLOFF

On this episode of 1x1 WITH KRISTIAN HARLOFF, Kristian sits down with Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, the co-writers, co-producers and co-directors of the new YouTube Red show ‘Cobra Kai’. The show stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the original 1984 ‘The Karate Kid’ movie. It is set thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, the series focuses on Johnny Lawrence reopening the Cobra Kai dojo, which causes his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso to be reignited. Jon, Hayden and Josh sit down with Kristian to talk about how they got the idea for the show, how it came to be and how they convinced the original actors to return for the show. They also go in depth on the process of working with YouTube Red to bring the project to fruition and throw in some fun behind the scenes stories as well. It’s an illuminating, engaging and fun interview with some of the most talented writers, producers and directors in the business.
