Why do exes come back when you ignore them or start healing yourself? Well, let's not pretend that this is some sort of immutable law of the universe or something like that. It can happen, but not all the time.

So when it does happen, why does it happen?

For starters, it can happen because you remove yourself from a situation that is not moving you in a positive direction.

Simply doing this can give your ex the space they need to reevaluate their opinion of you and to realize that they miss you.

This alone can be a big move toward saving a relationship, after all, nearly every thing that you do when you are in Damage Control Mode will make it harder for you to actually get back together with your ex.
