DCS World - MiG-21 vs F-105 - Leo Thorsness' Shootdown, Vietnam 1967

30 April 1967, Operation Rolling Thunder is in full swing and F-105 Thunderchief, commonly known as the Thud is the main USAF workhorse. Apart from standard bombing missions, it also performs specialized Wild Weasel SAM suppression mission. It even manages to shoot down MiGs.
Major Leo Thorsness is a Wild Weasel pilot who has recently shot down a MiG-17 and he is about to takeoff on his 93rd combat mission.
VPAF 921st fighter regiment has recovered from the blow caused by Robin Olds' Phantoms in operation Bolo. They are now ready to apply their new tactics against American aircraft.
With more Vietnam War era assets arriving to DCS World, either as community mods or as official modules, we are able to reenact the period more accurately than before.
