Welcome to this virtual walk in Vienna, recorded in 4K HDR for the best viewing quality.
This walk takes place in Vienna's 2nd district, called Leopoldstadt. The multicultural Leopoldstadt, is separated from the city center by the Danube Canal. The famous Ferris wheel offers a view of the Wurstelprater amusement park, which is surrounded by the extensive green Prater recreation area. Around 103,000 people live in this district on an area of 19.27 km². The district is very popular because, on the one hand, it is close to the city center and, on the other hand, it offers a high level of relaxation thanks to the Prater.
This district is named after Emperor Leopold I.
In 2007, the Vienna district of Leopoldstadt and the New York district of Brooklyn entered into a district partnership.
