New Railroad Bridge

New Years Eve 2011 and the weather was great for digging so I installed my new curved bridge. It didn't take long and I also dug the drainage trench from the other bridge (the green one also seen in the video) so that water will be encouraged to flow that way. I'm sure tweaks will be needed, but it is a great start for the new year.

The first clip is the real first train to roll over the bridge. I figured if it was going to fall off or roll fine I'd have a spectacular video either way.

Although the bridge is new I used various paints to make it look old and rusty. I might wash the abutments with some grime and rust to give them some age, but mother nature may soon provide me with some good mud so it probably won't be needed.

And yes, I will probably add some guard rails at some point. I just want to find some code 250 rail to build them.
