How to use a 3-way ON-ON-ON switch #electronics #howto #tutorial #demonstration
In this video, I show you in under one minute how to wire a 3-way ON-ON-ON switch.
- Grab the switch so that the notch (keyway) is facing you.
- Turn the switch upside-down so that the notch (keyway) is facing towards the top.
- Connect the left-center pin to the right-bottom pin.
- Use the right-center pin as the input.
- The bottom-left pin becomes connected to the input pin when the switch is at the notch side.
- The top-left pin becomes connected to the input pin when the switch is at the centre.
- The top-right pin becomes connected to the input pin when the switch is on the opposite side of the notch.
Due to the "ON-ON-ON" principle of the switch, one option is always active.
Alternatively, this same configuration can switch between 3 inputs.
