Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv - Diamond District in 4k - Most Affordable 5star Hotel but Bad Service

Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv is a boutique hotel located in the Diamond District, which is the major commercial center of Tel Aviv. It is also the most affordable 5star hotel in town. Unfortunately, I stayed in the hotel on Shavuot, which is the second of three major Jewish festivals. Almost all the shops and restaurants were closed. Even the restaurant, spa, and swimming pool of the hotel were closed. The hotel only provided minimal service which I did not expect. I am not sure if other 5 star hotels did not provide service like this. So be careful when you plan your trip.

Besides Shavuot, I am not very happy with the service of the hotel as well. Because I had to catch an 8am flight the next morning. I sent them emails 3 weeks ahead to ask if they prepare some takeaway breakfast as we had paid for it already. I sent the email on their website, the reservation email, and even the GM mail. No one replied to me at all. I have a feeling they don't really care about their guests.

The room is very small with only 19sqm. But I like the shower and the bed very much. The shower pressure is strong and the mattress is very comfortable.

There is a pillow menu next to the bed. I tried to call the operator to request a firmer pillow. I called many times at different times of the day. No one answered. I went down to ask the receptionist. She said someone would send that to me. But they never came.

When I checked in. I asked the receptionist about our breakfast arrangement. She said she would arrange it for us. However, the next morning when we checked out, the receptionist on duty said no one had told him about that. He did try his best to arrange something for us. And the sandwiches and fruits were nice.

I am really not sure if the service of the hotel is really that bad or just because of the holiday. But there is no excuse not replying to emails. Make sure you don't go there during big Jewish holidays.
