Welsh poet Brian Harris once eloquently wrote, "To be born in Wales, Not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with music in your blood and with poetry in your soul, is a privilege indeed."

#5 What is Love the 2nd single from Human's Lib. This new wave classic reached #2 in the UK and #33 in the US in the summer of 1984. Originally the song was called simply Love?
Written by Howard and Bill Bryant I've always loved the last lines: And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be The door always must be left unlocked
To love when circumstance may lead someone away from you And not to spend the time just doubting. Truly brilliant. I also love the 12 inch version and the meandering what is love vocal and backgrounds

#4 Last Supper This is an album cut from Cross that line. I remember My cousin and best friend Mark and I were driving around listening to this on cassette shortly after it came out and when this song came on we just pulled over and listened. We were just hypnotized by this song. It really should've been a single. The Verses are so haunting and melancholy while the chorus is stirring and elevating. Here's what Howard said about it.

#3 "Things Can Only Get Better from Dream Into Action, it hit #5 on the billboard hot 100 in 1985. It's a synth pop scorcher that gets you so high when your feeling so down and I have no doubt that as we discuss this right now there are around one hundred and ninety two thousand people or more listening to this very song on the radio or streaming singing, "Whoa whoa whoa-oh-oh whoa-whoa whoa-oh-oh" in perfect unison. His music does that all the time. We have a mini-documentary on this with Howard telling us the backstory that we'll be releasing soon. Sign up for out premium content below to see it. This song features his memerizing falsetto that is just so HoJo.

#2 The Prisoner the 2nd single From Cross that Line. After the song everlasting love hit #1 on the AC charts and #12 on the hot 100. This song went to #30 in the summer of 1989. This song is mind blowing. It's one of those perfect headphones songs. With a massive symphony of synthesizers and Howards's strangely satisfying synthesized voice. See lesson her for all those autotuner peeps out there. this is the way you created a truly cool electronically enhanced voice. The guitars in this songs are so brilliant. Here's what HoJo said about the song.
The doo doo parts are so choice especially the accapella ending of the song.

#1 No One is To blame. Look this song is a materpiece. Go read the lyrics. Talk about a modern pop standard. Seriously put these lyrics right next to love for sale by Cole Porter or Gershwin's Let's Call the whole thing off. Lyrically and musically just as great. it's the 3rd verse that puts it a head in my opinion: You can see the summit but you can't reach it It's the last piece of the puzzle but you just can't make it fit
