What helps and hinders employment for persons experiencing disability - Part 2

One in five workers in Canada experiences disability (StatCan, 2022). Four persons experiencing disability share what helped their employment journey and what made it harder.

*Explore* their stories.
*Reflect* on disability and employment.
*Talk* about disability and employment with others.

Every time we reflect on disability and employment, it matters.
Every conversation we have matters.
Workplace inclusion can happen, one person and one conversation at a time.

The Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE) partnered with the Centre for Community Based Research on a qualitative study to better understand what helped and what hindered the employment journey for persons experiencing disability. We wanted to learn more about people’s lived experience through their own stories.

Now we’re sharing the findings from this study and encouraging people to learn about disability inclusion and to talk about it with others.

This project was funded in part by the Government of Canada's Accessible Canada Fund – National AccessAbility Week stream.
