1 KG of Water in my Bike!? LOVING Typhoon Season...

It's currently typhoon season here in Japan, and they've been relentlessly targeting my weekends, which is my only real time to ride during the daytime.. I've been riding in the rain quite a bit, and recently tried to do an effort up one of my target climbs, and my time/performance was just horrible...

I came home demotivated until I went to put my bike away and noticed some water sounds coming from inside my bicycle frame. After a quick shake of my bike, I realized that there was quite a bit of water inside.

I don't enjoy doing mechanic work very much (I actually do, but not when I have little free time and lots of things to do), so I decided I might as well make a video about this experience and see how much water was actually inside my bicycle frame.

As you can tell from the video, my "premium" model scale gave a pretty accurate weight recording and there was nearly a kilogram of water inside my frame and weighing me down for my hill climb sprint efforts.

Thankfully now Suika-chan is back in good shape and ready to do some more hard workouts together.

POST EDIT: it seems like my training / bike mechanic work is paying off since I just set a PR for this year on my target climb by 15 seconds.. Wooo!

Hope somebody out there found this video somewhat useful or at least somewhat entertaining..
