On August 7th 2023 I was observing a severe thunderstorm from my front porch, from which I could not use my key. As it rolled in it started to pick up some very large objects, so I ran to the back porch, which I could use my key on, when suddenly, lightning struck somewhere between 50-100 feet away from me, causing me to instinctively dive onto my back porch... and directly into my screen door. I received 21 stitches and had to get 4 shards of glass removed from my arm. And of course, I had a gig that weekend. So as my right arm healed, I thought about Rick Allen from Def Leppard and realized I could do it too. Here I am jamming away, strengthening up my left hand technique.
