Virtual Tour of the Yad Vashem Grounds: Israeli Collective Memory

This tour will focus on Israeli collective memory in the wake of the Holocaust. The monuments and memorials built on Yad Vashem's campus reflect how the new Jewish state coped with the trauma of the devastation ofthe Holocaust. A visit to these monuments on the Yad Vashem Campus offers insight into memory and commemoration. Join us as we explore the Hall of Remembrance, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Memorial, the Monument to the Jewish Soldiers and Partisans who fought against Nazi Germany, Janusz Korczak Square, the Children's Memorial and Family Square. The tour is the second in a three part online series entitled "Tours of the Yad Vashem Grounds in Memory of Sheldon G. Adelson – Patron of the Mount of Remembrance", and is delivered by Orit Margaliot of the Educational Guiding Department, International School for Holocaust Studies.
