Biden's visit to Israel sparks anger, protests in Middle East following Gaza hospital strike

On Wednesday, there were widespread protests across the Middle East in support of Gaza, following raised tensions after a strike at a Gaza hospital resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people.

U.S. President Joe Biden's visit to the region to support humanitarian efforts for Gaza was met with disappointment and anger by many in the area, who felt that the U.S. was providing money and weapons to kill their people.

"Biden is unwelcome here because he has a major role in this game, a major role in the aggression on our people, and he is providing the money and weapons to kill our people in Gaza and everywhere," said Fawzi Nassar, a Palestinian resident of Hebron.

The strike on the hospital has attracted international condemnation and protests, including in Yemen and Egypt, where attempts to channel humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing have been hindered by Israeli bombardments.
