Warco 250V Lathe Rear Tool Post for Parting Off
If you have ended up reading this, then the chances are that you have come to grief trying to part off on a small hobby lathe. This is a quick video to show how much easier it is with a rear tool post. If you can’t fit a rear tool post you can also try inverting the parting tool and running the lathe in reverse (assuming it’s safe to do so – i.e. you won’t unscrew the chuck).
The rear tool post shown in the video was bought from Warco, and I have to say I'm very happy with it.
