A Huge Clue for Shadow of the Erdtree was Hiding in Cut Content | Elden Ring Lore
In the 1.00 version of Elden Ring, Deathroot was called a "sapling of the death tree." So in this video, I make the case for why the tree we've seen in all of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC images and the trailer was grown from Deathroot and, by extension, the Rune of Death, which itself was the “forbidden shadow plucked from the Golden Order upon its creation.”
