Cosclay: The Do's and Don'ts of Posing, With Sanding and Painting!
Cosclay is a NEW hybrid plastic/rubber polymer clay (coming this Fall) that is flexible, but more important, EXTREMELY durable oven bakable clay. It's never dry out and stay's soft forever until cured in a regular kitchen oven the COS in cosclay actually stands for "Cures Oven Safe"! It' shares some of the Super Sculpey characteristics, but far surpasses that with it's unique flexibility and toughness. In this video I make 2 large logs, sanding, painting and bending one of those, and breaking the other by deliberately doing what we're not supposed to do with this clay, which is baking after bending. I find this clay sands and paints just as well as other clay. It smooths VERY good and conditions very fast.
This video is packed with helpful info, some I found on my own, but most given to me from the developers. For example, this clay has zero percent shrinkage! That's right, 0! And has full strength right out of the oven, even when HOT, unlike all other polymer clays that become very brittle. (but don't change the pose while hot!) This video is a bit long, but 2 reasons why that might be ok: This clay is not out yet, so people will most likely appreciate the chance to spend some time getting familiar with it. And several of my subscribers find these videos (my voice) therapeutic and helps with day to day life.. The original content was 120 minutes long, and this video took 3.5 hours just to render as it is! Probably just as long to upload.
Please stay with me! I got so much support with the last announcement video so please don't stop now, let me know your thoughts or just say "Hi", and please like this video!!
This clay is not out yet but you can sign up here cosclay.com
If you're new please subscribe, more projects coming soon and you might not want to miss them, so hit that bell too! Have an amazing day my friends!
