Sculpting Thor vs. Raijin in Chavant NSP Clay

Well, it took quite a while to get this one out… but it’s finally here! Hope you enjoy the video, and please do let me know what you think of it in the comments :)

Technical stuff:
- Sculpted using Chavant NSP Medium and Hard clays
- The sculpt took about 28 sessions to finish.
- Armatures are made of aluminum wires, except for Raijin’s leg which has steel reinforcements.
- The peg holding up Raijin’s leg is made of wood, surrounded by epoxy putty.
- The sculpture stands roughly 21” tall counting the base, and about 12”x12” wide/deep
- It took about six sessions to get Thor’s upper body right… or as right as I was willing to take it anyway
- Raijin’s body went much faster, though his pants also took several sessions.
- This is the first time I’ve sculpted a real base, and I’m quite happy with the result, even though it came out of a giant fail.
