Easy Split Pea Soup made in an Instant Pot

I like split pea soup. It's one of those soups that is so satisfying during the winter months. It's easy to make too, especially if you have an Instant Pot cooker. You can make this in a regular pot, but cooking time will be longer (I don't know how long). In the Instant Pot it cooks in 10 minutes after coming up to pressure, then let it depressurize naturally. Purée or enjoy chunky. It's a delicious soup either way. One note: It thickens a lot as it stands. Be prepared to add water or stock if you plan to serve it later.
