'My Boy Jack' by Rudyard Kipling
John Kipling was known within the family as Jack. He died during the Battle of Loos in September 1915 and his body was never recovered. Instead, he is commemerated, along with so many thousands of others who had no known grave, on the Memorial Wall, Duds Corner, Loos.
